Áfram Ísland, 2017

In the summer of 2017, the Icelandic national football team was all set to compete in the Women's European Championship for the third time in history. Following the football craze the summer before, I lead my agency in creating a fan engaging campaign with the team's official sponsor. We created beautiful content for TV, print and social media.

My team at the advertising agency, Maurar, created a campaign for Coca-Cola following the Icelandic national football team competing in the Euro 2016 in France. It was the first time men's national team competed in the Euros and we wanted to create memorable content and merch with the fans' spirit in mind. Among the things that we produced were a countdown web banner from the day the groups were drafted, a photoshoot in Denmark involving our hero players, limited edition Coca-Cola cans and a viral video celebrating the results in the middle of the competion. We also participated with the main broadcaster in hosting a big event in Reykjavík that had a live broadcast of Iceland’s games. It was a lot of fun, especially since we had great results at the tournament. Huh!

Njóttu Coke, 2014

The Share a Coke campaign was an enormous hit all around the world. In 2014, a brand new ad agency, Maurar antvertising, hired me as a freelance to come up with creative ideas on how to localise the campaign in Iceland. I foresaw an opportunity to create a “feel good” local TVC where all kinds of people from various social steps announced who they wanted to share a Coke with. It turned out as a very nice motion graphics ad, produced in partnership with Trickshot.
